Good Ground Pilates is about finding your foundation. My philosophy is simple: strength starts from the ground up.

Feeling grounded, confident, flexible and strong can change how you move and feel every day. 

I offer tailored private Pilates classes - on the reformer and the mat - designed to help you connect with your body and achieve your own personal goals, with progressive adaptation. 

Working one-to-one allows for bespoke focus on your setup and movement with appropriate progression in a supportive environment. A personalised programme offers dedicated expert care to improve your body performance.

I focus on building powerful bodies that support fulfilling lives - improving core strength, posture and mobility - in a relaxed, supportive, and grounding private space.

Our comfortable studio is based in Winchelsea, just minutes from Rye, in East Sussex.

About your instructor

I’m Nykeeta, an LPA-trained Pilates instructor, specialising in bespoke tuition tailored towards your personal goals.

I came to Pilates after years of high-impact snowboarding and horse riding had taken their toll on my joints. I began one-to-one Reformer Pilates tuition with Alan Herdman. Herdman - regarded as the ‘Father of Pilates’ in the UK, having set up the country's first Pilates studio - was trained in New York by Carola Trier and Bob Fitzgerald, both of whom were students of Joseph Pilates.

My goal was to build strength and mobility to protect and support my neck discs from further damage. Over time, not only did all my pain disappear, but Pilates has led me to the best fitness, strength and confidence of my life, allowing me to take on activities and daily challenges I couldn’t previously have imagined.

I’ve practised Mat and Reformer Pilates at some of the best studios in the UK and I bring that depth of experience to every 1:1 session - designed entirely for your body and your goals. Whether you're recovering from injury, building strength, or simply ready to move and feel better, I hope you choose to practise Pilates with me.

Reformer Pilates works with spring-loaded resistance to support, challenge, and progress the body in ways that feel accessible, dynamic, and deeply effective. 

Mat Pilates uses bodyweight to master foundational control, developing strength and awareness through focused movement.

Each delivers a complete system of intentional, controlled exercise — building a stronger, more grounded body.

    Reformer Pilates challenges the body with machine resistance to strengthen, lengthen, and sculpt.

    This practice targets the body's foundational core muscles and builds full-body strength, endurance, and mobility through intentional, controlled movements.

    Reformer Pilates offers a connected mind-body workout that delivers real shifts in how your body feels and performs.

    Whatever your starting point, this is an impactful workout with lasting results.

    Our studio in Winchelsea, Rye enjoys a premium Reformer bed and equipment.

    Mat Pilates 1:1

    1hr - £55 (in-studio or outdoor)

    Mat Pilates uses the body's own weight for resistance to strengthen, tone, and lengthen the body.

    Centred on foundational muscle engagement, Mat uses precise movements and focused breathing, to deliver significant holistic benefits.

    A deceptively powerful practice that strengthens the body whilst calming the mind.

    Sessions are tailored entirely to you, whether you're building a foundation or deepening an existing practice.

    Mat Pilates at home

    1 hr- £65 (in-home visit)

    All the benefits of a private session, in the comfort of your own home.

    Ideal if convenience matters or getting to the studio is a challenge.

    Available within a 5-mile radius of Winchelsea — including Rye, Icklesham, Peasmarsh, and the surrounding villages in East Sussex.

    Mat Pilates - groups

    1 hr - £33 pp (pair) / £25 pp (3+) 

    Shared practice, still personal.

    Small group sessions bring the quality of a tailored class to you and your people — at your venue, out in nature, or even at the beach.

    Perfect for regular practice with friends or a memorable active occasion.

    Available within a 5-mile radius of Winchelsea — perfect for groups in Rye, Icklesham, Peasmarsh, and the East Sussex coast.
